About Jay Philbin
At Jay Philbin Hockey, we are dedicated to fostering a love for hockey in players of all ages. Our mission is to provide top-notch training and resources to help athletes reach their full potential.
Jay Philbin grew up in North Andover, MA. He started playing youth hockey at the age of 5 and quickly developed a strong passion for the game. Jay attended Cushing Academy where he played at the varsity level for 4 years. In 1996, Jay was a co-captain on Cushing’s Varsity team that won the NEPSAC prep school championship. Amongst his accomplishments, Jay earned 329 points during his career at Cushing.
Jay then went on to play 4 years of varsity ice hockey at Division 1, Merrimack College. Jay will tell you that he’s learned from the best coaches in the world (Paul Vincent, John McLean, Mike Boyle, Eddie Rauseo and Steve Jacobs just to name a few).
Jay is now living in Newbury, MA. He has a 6-year old son who shares his hockey passion. He has a lot of energy and excitement for the game and he’s thrilled to share it with you!
Our Camps
Jay Philbin Hockey Development was founded to help growing athletes maximize their potential on and off the ice. Hockey camps are held in Newburyport and the North Shore of Massachusetts and focus on fundamental power skating, high speed puck handling and scoring, small area/battle games and off-ice speed, agility, balance, mobility, strength & explosiveness training.
