Jay Philbin, a native of North Andover, Massachusetts, began his hockey journey at the age of five. He honed his skills at Cushing Academy, where he played varsity hockey for four years. In 1996, as co-captain, he led the team to a NEPSAC prep school championship, amassing 329 career points.
Following his prep school success, Philbin played four years of Division I hockey at Merrimack College. Post-college, he transitioned into coaching and player development, founding Jay Philbin Hockey Development in Newburyport, MA. His programs focus on power skating, high-speed puck handling, and goal-scoring techniques, catering to players of all ages.
Philbin also serves as a coach for the 2018 Elite team at Top Gun Hockey.
His dedication to the sport and commitment to developing young talent have made him a respected figure in the New England hockey community.
Jay is now living in Newbury, MA. He has a 6-year old son who shares his hockey passion. He has a lot of energy and excitement for the game and he’s thrilled to share it with you!

Seamus Cummings, is a defenseman for the Salem State University Vikings in NCAA Division III hockey. Cummings developed his skills at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA, where he played both ice hockey and lacrosse. He then advanced to junior hockey with the Seacoast Spartans in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Over two seasons with the Spartans, he tallied 35 points in 75 games and was selected for the EHL All-Star College Series in his second year.
In June 2024, Cummings committed to Salem State University. He made an immediate impact in his freshman season, scoring his first NCAA goal in a 4-0 victory.
Known for his two-way play and versatility, Cummings has been praised for his contributions in all situations on the ice. His dedication and performance have marked him as a promising player in collegiate hockey. Seamus is excited for a great spring and summer with everyone at camp!
Lynn Lopez-Bailey is a dedicated strength and conditioning coach with a lifelong passion for fitness and athletic performance. As an experienced athlete and fitness enthusiast, she brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to her training programs.
Currently, Lynn plays a key role in developing young athletes, including coaching her two sons at the Seacoast Spartans. Her expertise in off-ice training focuses on building strength, speed, and endurance to help players reach their full potential.
Returning this spring and summer, Coach Lynn is committed to pushing our athletes to new heights. With her guidance, we have no doubt that our campers will be faster, stronger, and more prepared for the season ahead!
Alex hails from Nitra, Slovakia, where he played for the U16 and U17 Slovakian National Team and later professionally for HK Nitra Slovakia (Slovakia’s top pro league). Alex then came to United States and attended Salem State College, where he was a 4-year player.
Transitioning to coaching in 2012, Alex founded Molnar Hockey, where he has dedicated over a decade to training and mentoring players across various age groups and skill levels. His coaching tenure includes positions with the Islanders Hockey Club, Seacoast Performance Academy, and the Assabet Valley Girls Hockey program, where his teams have consistently competed for national titles.
In addition to his coaching endeavors, Alex has been a Skills Instructor at Micro Ice Training Center in North Andover, MA, and has recently joined the coaching staff of the Governor's Academy for the 2023/2024 season.
Alex's coaching philosophy centers on fostering passion and helping players achieve their hockey goals and dreams. He currently resides in the Boston area with his family, continuing to contribute to the hockey community through his innovative coaching methods and unwavering dedication to player development.
